I just got back from spending a week in Vegas!!! We had such a GREAT time! As I may not have previously told everyone, Cheyanna had a dance competition in Sin City! She did amazingly, of course, would you expect anything less from my niece? She got Gold for her solo, platinum for her group numbers and I believe the dance company received Bronze overall...not too shabby! It was a total girls trip...Me, Amy, Brianna, Cheyanna, Shannon and Alicia. The youngsters loved hanging by the pool by during the day and checking out the people at night, and for us that are over 21 (barely) we were livin' it up!!! (Thank God for Brianna's willingness to babysit). Amy and I tried our luck at Roulette and if we had gotten out while the gettin' was good we would have had over $600.00 easily, but the nasty little greed bug got the best of both of us. We still walked away over $150.00 up each, which isn't too shabby, but in hind-sight, we should have cashed out a lot earlier. I'll send out more pic's if Amy ever gets off her lazy ass and actually downloads them, maybe she doesn't know what she's doing?!?
We stayed on Fremont Street at the Golden Nugget, which I highly recommend...It was very family friendly, not the same kind of riff-raff that hangs on the strip. The pool is awesome, the girls loved the slide and the shark tank, I however, was too much of a pussy to get very close and wouldn't go down the slide. We hung out on the strip without the girls a couple times, met a British guy that wouldn't leave us a lone, he kept telling Amy how much he liked me, tried to kiss me too many times for my comfort (which by the way, I didn't let him) we had to ditch him once we got into Margarita Ville, no more cleavage baring shirts for me...OK, who am I kidding, I loved the attention...for about a minute. We tried to see all there was to see, the Volcano at the Mirage, the wax museum, Cesar's Palace, TI, MGM, New York, Luxor, Excalibur, the M&M factory, the coke Store, the Venetian, The Bellagio, almost everythingLike I said before I'll send more pic's as soon as I get them from Amy. But before I do that, here is my favorite pic of all...This was taken our 1st night in Vegas, and for those of you who "really" know me, know that I could have gone home at this point and I would have been completely satisfied!!
